The video demonstration of that product could have done a bit better imo...for a bird that was "dead instantly" it sure looked like it was trying to get out of his hands!
Dead isntantly doesn't mean there isn't going to be some residual nervous movement. No good way IMHO to make a video of a product designed to kill an animal with your hand. Pithing is actually a humane way to euthanize many species of animals, however in my experience an angry goose isnt gonna hold still and let you do that like this mallard did. I tend to shoot em again if I can but not sure this is any better sometimes than just wringing the neck.
