The max trim length show as 56.44mm. Is there a safe length over that measurement?

Have a few in the 56.5-56.8 length that have live primers in them. Think I will just fire the as is and then trim them.

Why would you deprime to trim????, trimming won't set off a primer. Also they are fine for length.

The Lee case length gauge/trimmer only works on deprimed cases, since the tool extends through the flash hole to the base of the cartridge... not sure what the OP uses... as u say, a lathe style trimmer would be fine with a primed case...

Lee makes a Quick Trim Die in .303 British (90325) - they cost about $11 from Higginson Powders. You will also need either of the Lee Quick Trim Case Trimmers @ $26 (90437) or $14 (90386)

You can trim cases with live primers without any issues.

I use the Quick Trim Dies frequently - they are fast and very accurate and are perfect for Berdan cases...

Yes I am using the Lee case length gauge trimmer. Wasn't sure if it was safe to deprime live primers. Also wasn't sure 56.5 mm to 56.8mm lengths were ok when max was listed at 56.44mm. Good to know I'm ok on both issues. Thanks.

Anyone know what the most allowable over max would be? Would it just make it tough to chamber? Just curious.

Lose the metrics. Not used for reloading in North America. And follow the lengths given in your manual.
Max case length is 2.222". Trim-to is 2.212". As long as your cases are between those, you don't need to trim. Isn't a bad idea to at least start with 'em all the same though. Whether or not you need to very gently pop out the live primers with regular decapping will depend on your trimmer.
56.44mm is 2.218". Close enough. Ditto for the slightly longer cases. .5 or .8 vs .4 doesn't make enough difference to matter.

Not sure if it matters much but 56.44mm is 2.222"
