Exactly, even if it craps out after a month its no major loss. Cant really see it happening with a 9mm though, I have another on my Remington 870 that I'll also be testing(never got a chance to go to the range today) I also have two more on order to have spares. How bright is bright enough for you? With this little guy I can light up any room in the house just fine. I can zoom in at the 25 and 50 yard targets just fine so I dont need anything bigger or brighter than this.

This little Ultrafire has been around for a few years.... I bought a couple (exactly like your pic) from eBay at least 2-3 years ago, sent direct from China for a few dollars shipped.

Still going strong after 2-3 years of steady use. I have 4 different Fenix compact flashlights, and these so far seem as reliable, although not as bright.
