East German, Romanian, Bulgarian SKS

Anybody know what an Albanian SKS would fetch in Canada? Similar prices to Yugo's or more perhaps?

I've seen 1 Albanian SKS in Canada - they're more common in the US, they have to be worth a good amount more than a Yugo. To my knowledge the Albanian was never imported in any quantity, whereas Yugos used to be everywhere.
 
For all the talk that Chinese are not hard to find, and therefore not more valuable, how many are available?
None, that's how many. Maybe we will see more, I dunno.

they are only worth what someone is going to pay. The going price, well google them and figure what a resonable price is. Remember you can ask any price, but if your looking for a sale be resonable :)
 
My only worry about buying an sks in the US and importing it would be how the importer decides to pin the mag. This would be especially important with how unique the Albanian mag is compared to other designs.
 
From looking at Gunsamerica from time to time ,the Russians sell in the 5-600 dollar range and Type56 Chinese in the 400 + ,and that`s US funds.Have not seen any Yugos as of late ,although I know there are plenty out there in the US ,and I would sure like one or two !

Amd why are Chinese and Russian SKS so expensive there?

Because there is no supply.
 
The US market hasn't had anything Chinese in many years - Norc M305's, 1911's and SKS's all sell for much more there than they do here. Same thing with Russian stuff - price an SVT in the US and be ready for a real shock.
 
Be wary about those rare rifles you think you've found.Best bet is to do some homework first, as an east german and a romamian are very rare in Canada. I've been around sks'es a while and I have never heard of a Bulgarian sks, I guess its a rifle the reds lent to 'em, would be interesting to see.As for info on the sks, survivors board is the site I go to, and its always best to have the rifle in hand before making a judgement. Who knows, maybe you've found some gems, but then again its getting close to xmas and there's always a fool around.Be wary, do your homework, and good luck,, and remember to post pics if you buy 'em. :cheers:
 
Americans got a recently supply of old Chinese Type 56 from Africa. These rifles you couldn't even sell them for $75 here they're in such poor shape and yet they sell for $250 from Classic Firearms in the States and that's just a, took it out of the crate and sent it out in a box, rifle. They have extra add on charges for matching numbers, good cosmetic condition, then there is taxes, shipping, and FFL transfer bringing the gun in just over $400.

Sometimes we win over the US when it comes to firearm laws haha bring on the cheap SKS'!
