So I lost my hoppes 9 solvent in an accident and had to buy Remington Brite bore cleaning spray at wallmart. I have better luck cleaning my barrel with hot water and a shop towel patch then this stuff it seems. Maybe I just was not using it right but it seems to leave everything greasy with a residue, almost oily. It seem to have allot of positive reviews online but really was a pain for me to clean the barrel on my sks. For other parts like my springs and such it worked ok tho because it make it quick to spray on and wipe off.

Works great for me. Spray, let sit for a few minutes, then dry patch the bore and oil it. It's kerosene based.

I got a can and it started foaming when it came in contact with the frosted/mate Finish of my win. Defender. I washed it off with water ASAP but it ate some of the finish. I can't explain why or how but it did. Now I stick with good old #9.

Well, it is a bore cleaner. Being that it has a spray straw, it is rather easy to only spray it inside the barrel.
