GSG 1911 releasing mag issue

Has anyone came up with a fix how to fix the ability to drop/release the empty mag once its locked back. Without pulling back the slide a bit or pushing down the slide stop?

Its the mags that can use a bit of massaging, I had to slightly file 1 of my 2. Have a close look at where the mag engages in the well and take it down just a little - worked for me.

I got 4 mags and a GSG conversion kit on my IPSC tuned frame. Annoying that I press the button nothing, Not till I pull back the slide.

I see the issue. On the back of the follower. Is a tab and that catches the bottom of the slide. So it binds up the mag, preventing it from free falling easy.

Correct. They are cylindrical.
I used a chainsaw file actually. Go a bit at a time, only takes a little.

Yeah I just filed most of it off, all mags lock back on empty. Now mags free fall easy.

I gotta tweek the feed lips a bit, noticed I was getting jams when inserting mags and a round would flip up.

I started tapping my loaded mags against my palm before loading the gun, seats the rounds in the mag a bit.
