Not sure if anyone has seen this yet. I hadn't seen it until a couple minutes ago when I visited the Winchester site.

Seems they have introduced their version of a budget rifle. They have oh-so-carefully incorporated a little bit of everyone else's design from what I can see. Barrel nut from Savage, same recoil lug as a Tikka, almost identical bolt as the Ruger American. I'm not in any way saying it's going to be bad, I just thought it was funny. They definitely covered their bases.

Here's a pic of the action from Google:

The web page says it's coming out in January. If this is old news I appologize, but this is the first I have come across it and I thought maybe you guys would like to take a look.

Cheers.

It's the new WinRugSaviKka....

Chambered in some exotic calibres such as 243, 308, 270, 30-06 no doubt.

So funny that all the American makers are following Nick Brewster's way of making rifles. Savage won the gun building war back in the late 50's thanks to him. The guy knew the future path of rifle building on a budget, and TA-DA....the rest are finally getting it!:)

It should be interesting to see how it performs.
The budget rifle arena is already crowded and considering the price points the bar has been set pretty high.
I'm on the fence with some of it but overall it doesn't "look" that bad...

Well, just because it didn't work 50 years ago doesn't mean you shouldn't give it another whirl.

Bicentennial stupidity. See you all again in 2064.

Soon we'll all be looking for pre-14 winchesters lol.
Doubt that'll happen but it sounds funny.
No mention of price anywhere, but the rifle is supposed to come out in January, so it won't be long before we find out.
