Personally, I have very little interest in a Savage, if this is what you're implying. But what are OP's intentions?

Based on value new and without the optics, I will venture the Winchester cost twice as much as the Savage, hence my question "what for?"

We were only debating on the look...only the look.
Its like girls, Blonde, brown, red... its only a matter of personal preference.
It is really not the point of this challenge, but I can give you the spec for the fun of it.
Winchester Supergrade 270wsm, Zeiss Conquest 3-15x44 Z800. accuracy with 140gr Berger VLD: 0.8 moa (3080fps)
Savage 16 7mm wsm, Boyds Pepper laminated Prairie hunter: Vortex PST 4-16x50 FFP, accuracy with 150gr Accubond long range: 0.8 moa (3080 fps)
Use: big game hunting, and shooting long range once in a while (5-600 yards) just for fun !!!
