So I guess the build cost has gone up a little bit so now its at $938.00 before tax and optics (230 for troy rail and 10 for the barrel nut) still think I've got alot of rifle for the money. Still wanna swap the upper receiver and add a flashlight, would love you guys opinion.

I'm with you there. 6'2" as well and handling a few 14.5 carbines in the store felt too small/short. I am looking at ordering a 20".

In a ar I think 16.5 is the shortest id go and everyone that touches my ar loves the 15in handgaurd

He said hes 6'2 he probably wouldnt need an adjustable stock that would be my guess or he just likes the a2.

How did you get the gas system to line up with the gas hole and not shorten the handguard? Did you use a different barrel?

It is a gas block but Its not connected just used as a front sight the rifles kinda strange because its got a 20in barrel but a carbin length gas system.

I'm 6'2 as well and I prefer my adjustable....I was more or less curious on the aesthetic side of things I don't mind the a2 stock on an older colt it just looks outdated with all his other visual choices but each to their own just curious

Cool always interested in knowing the reason....I myself can't ever seem to get close enough....I really should take a Tavor for a whirl I'd probably like how compact it is now that I'm thinking about it

I kinda like the way the A2 stock looks and every adjustable stock carbine id ever owned only got used on the 5th or 6th notch. If I think its to long i'll swap it with a A1 stock.
