Picked this up from a CGN member in Winnipeg. Nice meeting you Mark and thx for a great transaction.

Took it all apart, took some pics, cleaned it up, oiled it, check the firing pin protrusion... and now she's good to go !!

FYI - A Dragoon is a version of the M91 that is the same length as an M91/30, but has the M91 type sights and a unique handguard. This model was phased out in the early 1930s and replaced by the M91/30. An updated Dragoon has the sights and hand guard replaced with the M91/30 types. It is basically an M91/30 in that configuration, but because it is dated pre-1930 it is often referred to as an ex-Dragoon or updated Dragoon by US collectors. While certainly not as rare as a Dragoon in original configuration they are less common than post 1930 M91/30s and sought after by many collectors.

And now... the pics.

Weird shim ??

Both types of Izhevsk markings on the tang.

Usual bizarre markings

"00" is an accuracy proof and "Circle K" is a point of aim proof.

What with the 2 ??

Nice Find. I believe I saw this firearm at the Canadian Tire on McPhillips this summer. How many 1928 MO 53 dated guns are there in Winnipeg? They have an excellent selection of milsurps. Had over 35 SVT-40's in back on Monday.

Surprised staff is still taking customers in the back. They were told to stop that a long time ago.

Oh I know, probably more than most about that store. Still, the Store manager forbids it, regardless how much money you spend or if you flash your pearly whites.
They've been ushering just about any customers back there, especially after 6pm, when the cat's away, the mice will play....
