Desert Tech confirms a Canadian MDR

My first question is going to be about the trigger. If it has a high MSRP and a crappy trigger, I would be sad. Having to spend another $300 - $400 on something like a Geissele (once they come out) is hard on the wallet. If it has a bit higher MSRP and a sweet trigger that would be ok.

Another long waiting game begins...speaking of which....where is my factory ACR DMR? I want so many "recreational firearms/modern sporting riffles" right now it's torture!

:HFU:

The Tan does look sweet!

They are not any longer as stated in TSE's thread about the DT SRS'. I think I read Blueline?
Yes, I found out over a year later that they lost their distributorship for DTA/DT but during that time I kept being told by their sales staff that the rifle I wanted was on the way. Not sure who is the distributor now but there are retailers bringing them in on their own.

I imagine it will be very popular, similar to the Tavor and a lot of our vendors will stock them. I hope, anyway. Spare parts should be fairly easy to get considering they are US made?

Looks like a piece of keltec plastic junk
Atleast the t97 uses an aluminium reciever and im going to have to buy an entire snap on tool set for disassembly and when those stupid screws strip ill need a tap set

The prototype displayed at SHOT piqued my interest, if Desert Tech can deliver a quality product, I'd definitely be interested in taking a chance on a .308Win model.

Hate to be "that guy", but if I recall, didn't the RCMP ban the SCAR-17 rifles from import because they purchased fully-automatic parts and dropped them into a semi-auto only gun?
Wouldn't they try the same thing with the MDR, since Desert Tech is producing full-auto variants too?
