SAM Military 1911 9mm Enhanced - very pleased :)

X2. Way better than Norc finish indeed.

I wasn't even talking about the finish, just the machining. But the finish is smooth. The Park scratches easy.

Dad got a Para Ord SF 45, a Sam Commander and a Norc Double Stack 45, and I wouldnt even put the norc in the same paragraph as the SAM. For QC. Def up there for being well made.

I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the SAM. The accuracy is right on, Excellent Point of Aim. Nice trigger to. NO complaints.

Now for the rest of the story...It will Not out shoot my Nork with the fiber optic sights LOL.
I tried @25, and @50, finally out to 100 yards and both were Dead even. I love em all.

475 from Wolverine. Magpul grips are extra :)

Seems like a lot of gun for the price. Not crazy about a parkerized finish on a pistol though... Anyone have the SS 9mm version for $575? Looks pretty nice too. Here's a guy's video review on a SAM 1911 in 45 that he customized:

Black ones are just blasted and blued, not parkerized.....
Stainless ones are nicely polished BTW...
These are sold under the American Tactical Imports brand in the US.

That what you get with a quick bead blast and blue....a matte black finish that marks up easy. It's probably the cheapest finish you can do, I've had my gunsmith do barrels and actions like that before....cheap and quick and easy.

Did you hit anything? Ceiling maybe? Lol
Looks like it runs well, ejection was positive and in the right direction...should get many years out of it.

Just got my SAM from Wolves 3 days ago, took it apart and cleaned her up...She is a beautiful piece of work for 450...I got the basic SAM commander 4.25....I am really impressed...I've owned a few 1911's twp Kimbers and a Sig Nightmare...both of which I sold...This Sam is really a nice semi, nice and tight, well machined, no rough spots, very clean...For the price I'm impressed. Now I need to get her on the range and check out the accuracy...Oh, the sights are just ok imo.....Umm, I'm not too fussy about the reddish grips, going to put some Eagle Ebony grips on it and see how that works...they're on sale, the smooth ones for 40 buck right now.

I have a SAM Commander-E in 45 ACP and find that riding the trigger can result in inadvertent discharge, it has happened several times.
It is not a problem if I back off after each shot, aside from that it is a very good shooter..accurate and reliable.
