keltec rfb

Which dealers are carrying these right now?

What have the upgrades/changes been in the newer gens?

Has anyone compared the RFB to a TAVOR? Yes i know its different caliber, just wondering about fit, finish, functionality etc

As far as I know there are only gen 1 and gen 2 RFB's.
I liked shooting my RFB better than the Tavor's I've shot but the Tavor would be much more user friendly if you needed to clear a jam.
Both rifles are well made with quality materials and are reliable.

If you are trying to decide between the two then you would be happy with either one as long as you can afford to feed a semi auto 308. Magazines are much cheaper and easier to find for the Tavor though.

We have three models in stock. Standard, with muzzle brake and with 24" barrel. Contact orders@theshootingcentre.com for more details.

They're both very cool rifles. I shot both the other day. There are advantages to both. The RFB is just a hair shorter. the 308 gives obviously more kick than the 556 does so more effort involved in target re-acquisition. RFB mag availability and price can be somewhat of an issue as mentioned. Tavor can take 10 round L-AR mags and also can take beowulf mags, makes run n guns a little more fun. 308 is a little more expensive. They both run reliably. RFB has an adjustable gas system so you would have to adjust accordingly. Both rifles are very ergonomic and fit nicely. Both feel solid and are high quality. The RFB comes fully ambi out of the box, Tavor not so much; conversion work required.

I am running the 24" hunter model and am averaging 2MOA at 100m with the cheap copperwash surplus stuff. I plan on stretching it out and developing a decent 150Gr load for it.

Anyone actually stocking the metric FAL mags? I would like to grab a couple more for my rifle.

Mine is a GEN 2 and I love it. I also have a Tavor and like mentioned before they are both great rifles and you will be happy with both choices. It will depend on what you needs and plans are here .223 is not legal for big game and why I have both but I love my Tavor for varmint. Really both great guns.

Plan on putting a 100 or mores through the RFB to really break it in and setup correctly.
