XCR-l ,556= hornady superformance 53g = 1 moa

Had the 6.8 out today. 120 gr ssts 1.6"-1.8", my pro hunter handloads, 1.5" at 100 yds and that was rapids. I know, I know, it's bull####, but what can I say, must have a unicorn....paging beltfed, Oh beltfed?

I had my new 6.8 spc key mod light stainless bbl out a couple weeks ago. Put a scope on just to give it a whirl. All i got to try was the 50yd range as the 100 yd was busy with some uniformed guys doing some c8 drill...... I've refrained from posting anything since it was only 50yds but, wow. It grouped tight, real tight. Now I know it will open up at 100 yds but maybe the stainless barrel makes a difference? Will see when I get the chance to get out again. Been waiting for my Hornady SST's to come in.

I'm kind of choked, my first XCR performed similar to that with the 53 gr. Superformance. My latest XCR, not so much, more like 2-2.5 MOA with any ammo :( Shouldn't have sold the first one.

I've heard from a few people that the 53 g superformance , is the magic pill , it worked for me. Keep trying.

Like I keep saying, everyone who shoots moa, or sub-moa groups with XCRs all must live in Neverland or the Internet.
I've yet to see these shoot this good in person. I'm looking forward to the day when I'm proven wrong though!
I am also curious to see if RobArms has made changes to the barrel retention from the first generation rifles.

Sounds like good design changes have been made. My old XCR could not group anywhere near that at 100 yards (it would start to vertical string). That said, other than being quite front heavy, it was very ergonomically friendly and fast to use with the controls.

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgI did about 10 ,5 rnd groups with 6 or 7 diff ammo, all but the rem umc, grouped under 2. The superformance 53 was 1 moa. 100 yards , 2x7 vx 1, led sled , and I wasn't taking my time. Soon as I get my new scope , I'm going to try the 53 only. Here's some pics of targets... I have no reason to lie , I could care less as I was expecting 2or 3 moa anyway. If people are doing 3 or 4 moa, then the gun is broke or not using the right ammo, or they can't shoot straight. Aim small miss small.lol.

Just rain everyday lol. This is jealousy talking. Still no snow in northern bc yet tho +3 today. Veddy strange

Mine does good with cheap factory ammo. I shot this group with winchester white box 45gr at 100 yards. I messed up one shot and I knew it just as I pulled the trigger but otherwise all the other shots came in at around 1.5". The gun is an older xcr-l heavy barrel.
