Some time back, I purchased an M70 Zastava Mannlicher style in ;).366 Wagner.

And was pleasantly suprised with the initial accuracy results.

So much so that when I decided to get another Mannlicher style, and in a fitting European calibre, I purchased a 2nd Zastava, in 7x57 Mauser.

So now, the Zastava 'sisters':p

Nice guns. We all know the moose story but that carpet is a Lil dated isn't it?

When I built my den and reloading room,

it seemed to be a good fit with the overall colour scheme. And, decent quality as it has withstood the test of time. I'll probably keep it for a few more years, that is:) unless to calm your, concerns, you're willing to foot the bill for a new less dated installation?????

I was just teasing. But seriously how do you get spilled powder out of a carpet?

I have a 3'x5' piece of material that sits rolled up in the corner to set down in front of my bench. Truth be known, after a number of years of setting it down and finding it not being needed, I don't bother with it for the most part.

Good idea. I always manage to spill powder no matter how careful I am.

Those are seriously nice looking rifles. Makes me almost want to get a full stocked rifle

I've mentioned in other posts, for me, my 'pick of the litter' in bolt actions is the Schultz & Larsen. Without going into great detail, these Zastavas don't have the fit & finish of many of the more popular brands on the market at present. By the same token, they don't cost an arm and a leg either and they do shoot. I just wanted a couple of full stock rifles and in more fitting European calibres. I had a A III Sako in .270 Win and that North American calibre is the primary reason I put it up for adoption.

I've never hunted with a full stocked rifle yet. You picked 2 very fine calibers.
I'd like a zastava 458wm in stainless and synthetic for those days I don't want to bang up my nicely stocked Mauser
I've been eyeing some of the fine full stocked single shots from Ferlach. They prolly cost more than I make in a year but they're nice looking guns
Thanks for sharing yours. Again nice looking guns

Hello Johnn,
Your new rifles look great........In fact any photo of any rifle which you have posted on this site has always looked great. I believe the carpet background is the secret.
The photos of your groups show that the first purchase shoots just fine,so am guessing that the trigger must be pretty good. How was it out of the box, and if not to your liking, is it easily adjustable for weight/creep etc?

I haven't checked the actual trigger pull weight but it seems to be just fine for hunting use. The same holds true for my latest acquisition. I'll have to purchase a guage one of these days.

medvedqc, thank you for that information.

Johnn, Good to learn that "out of the box" trigger is all you needed to shoot those groups.

Yes, so far so good. I thought I'd use as is for a while and if 'things' don't smooth out, then I'd start exploring improvement options.:) X2 on the appreciation for info medvedqc.

But, but, but...the Internet told me that my #### would fall off if I loaded in a carpeted room. Yet you do and you scoped a levergun. Could the Internet have lied to me?
