Okay, I have shot 9mm for many years and I just bought a new PC929 (disappointed with the finish). I look at the loading manuals and they really don't make a lot of sense for min and max with a variety of bullets. I used to shoot 147gr for ipsc but that was many years ago and my current testing seems to say that 125 shoots better now in most of my new guns. I would like one load for lead and plated bullets and I am using Titegroup powder at 1.150". I tried Accurate Nitro100NF and the groups were easily twice the size for Titegroup loads, so scrap that. I am not a big experimenter and would rather load a few thousand and get on with it. If anyone has a good goto load let me know!

Thanks!

Ian

I agree with the above posters. Personally I use 4.2 TG behind either a 124 or 125 and it has excellent results. My 'go to' load for 9mm for sure.
good luck

Check the reloading section, I like 6gr of power pistol behind 124 gr bullet.

^^^x2 for this^^^

Been years since I've seen Power Pistol (or any Alliant powders ) on a shelf north or south of the line, however... I'm starting to wonder if I'll see C-68 repealed before I ever see my precious Power Pistol again.

Right now I'm using 5.4gr of Unique under the 124s. Can't stand Unique as it doesn't meter very well, but I'm still using up a keg I bought years ago.

The only other 9mm powder I can seem to track down right now is 231. I haven't seen Titegroup on the shelf anywhere in a loooooooonggg time.

I use the maxinum ail allowed by the specific barrel. Very rarely 2 barrels can use the same aol abs I notice a bug change in accuracy if loaded too short. So for my glock I rin 1.140 -124 campeo - 5.1 cfe pistol and get 5" groups at 25 yards easily.
Cheers

4.3 grns of TG under 124 GRM Campro plated RN. 1.10" COAL for everything but an STI which seems to like 1.15" COAL.

I load for over 20 different 9mm pistols. I make ammo with the DRG 135 gr lead RN bullet. This bullet works bette than the 125 gr bullet in my guns.

I have used a variety of powders and have settled on Titegroup. I load batches of ammo in 3.3 gr, 3.6gr and 3.8gr and try each pistol with all loads, and then mark it with whatever load works best.

I load for accuracy and 100% cycling. All my guns cycle fine at 3.5gr and some work best with 3.3gr. I have never tried anything as hot as 4.0 gr.

Most like 3.5 or 3.6gr best, so if I was only making one load, that would be it.

There's no load that will shoot well out of every pistol. You have to work up the load for your's.
Never bother working too much with 9mm. My pistol is an Inglis BHP and isn't up to any kind of target shooting other than playing with it. Isn't any better in .41AE either. Trigger's ok(took the silly mag safety out), but Inglis BHP sights are a joke. Anyway, used a 121 grain cast TC with Bullseye, 3.5, I think. Jacketed bullets are too expensive.
