I bought it 2 years ago from an estate. It was shot at the factory and shot once by me. Still have the original box(-1) of 45/70 shells I bought to try it out. 300gr Winchester hollow point.
This is what it looks like. I bought it still in grease. I cleaned it up enough to shoot it and re oiled it and put it away.

This is the write up of it. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/Cowboy/1895Cowboy.asp
Curious about what price I should put it for sale on the EE at. ps I gave the estate $800 + the shipping. Can't find another one for sale to compare it with.
What do you think it should sell for.

Remington never did produce a cowboy so it has to be a true " JM" Marlin. The going price is $900-$1050 as these are the rarest configuration of "JM" marlin's(by demand).

Remington did produce some 1895CB's, I owned one.
Price stated for the JM rifles is bang on, not sure about the rarest JM by demand though. Lots of limited runs and don't forget the 1894CB's.

Yes and they are still listed on the Marlin web site, at least they were last month when I checked their site!

Well you paid about $850, and the EE is supposed to be not for profit unless you're a buisine...... Pbshttt, hahahahahahaha. I almost got the through that one.

$1050-$1200 seems to be the market.

Blueoval56..........apparently I didn't ask enough according to the latest appraisals............:) I had guys tell me I was a "rip off", asking 900 for that rifle, but the last time I saw them listed in WSS they had an $1100 price tag on them. I'm glad you're enjoying it, I can't shoot them they pinch my pinkies something terrible.............bad enough to start a flinch, had to get rid of 'er.

Haha apparently I made away like a bandit! And I'm absolutely loving it. It's been inducted into the "never selling" group of rifles :)
