Grouse River Outfitters?

I ordered a Nightforce NXS series scope from them with Zerostop. I also ordered a hunting watch. When the order arrived the scope didn't have the zerostop and the watch package was already opened and the battery was dead.

They emailed me a return shipping label as they forgot to put one in the box.

I usually go by my first impressions when I buy from a store. This one wasn't a good impression.
 
I live 7 minutes from there and won't buy a thing from them!!! Website says they carry everything I could ever want and yet I think just once it was actually in stock. Service is good, that I can't complain about but pricing and availability is ridiculous. Their prices on surplus ammo.....ha......just one example!! Go and get a crate of x39 for $299, really competitive.
Try to filter their website to actually get to the product you want, totally useless. My advice to the OP, find someone who SUPPORTS CGN (site sponsor) and buy whatever you need from them!
 
Bought three Nightforce riflescopes from them in one order, so a pretty big order, about 7 grand after tax. Price was comparable to other dealers, but their customer service is the best I have ever encountered. They were incredibly helpful, and very good about keeping in contact through the ordering and shipping process.

I will happily recommend them to others.
 
I deal with them on a regular basis, they have a huge selection of non restricted and acessories, hunting supplies and clothes. Restricted guns not so much. They are having problems getting licences for certain brands and there was a shortage of Rugers for a time. Prices are a little high but their sales can be good. They do have very good service. The only store that has more selection in the Okanagan would be Wholesale Sports, but not in firearms, or Delselins but only in firearms.

Its a beautiful store. The staff are quite pleasant. The prices are, in general, pretty high. A friend of mine calls them a "boutique" store. There are usually more staff than customers in the store, I don't know how they can keep the lights on and the doors open. I have taken advantage of some good sales, though.
 
Just talked to the owner recently, their website is in the final phase of being upgraded and will show stock. He is very open to feedback and suggestions. If there is something you want they will bring it in. Also they have a new buyer and are trying to expand their selection. Shot show in another month, he will be looking for some new fun stuff.

They should become CGN sponsors. There's an idea.
 
great service on my 2 orders from them....I do see good prices occasionally(sales and regular prices), but most items are priced on the high side
 
Good over the phone service experience for me. Always seems to show up as the only place with rare items "possibly" in stock, leading to calls to confirm that it is not in stock. Glad the updated website is coming.

I got the same spiel from them about two years ago, and still the same story.
Useless website with everything 'in stock'- in reality out of stock, and very polite gun salespeople with no guns to sell.

How about stop advertising this store that is not CGN sponsor?

That is kind of misleading, I contacted them about a rifle they show in stock on their website, I wanted to order one with an optional trigger from the manufacturer. They were unwilling/unable to quote a price and delivery date on it, I was told that due to current demand the manufacturer is seeing they are only offering it in the standard configuration with an unknown shipping time.

I contacted another vendor here and they will match the advertised price from GR, they also called the distributor and got pricing from the manufacturer for the rifle with the trigger I wanted and an approx delivery date.
