Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone makes an extended charging handle for the JR carbine. I've noticed that after shooting at least 300 rounds in one sitting the Allen screw comes loose thus making the charging handle loose and not being able to pull the bolt back. Also it's just not very comfortable to do, big hand and small parts don't mix.

I had an issue with my Jr's charging handle and while I was waiting for the manufacturer to send me two new original factory handles (free, politely and quickly I might add.) I had my local gunsmith make me up a replacement. The replacement was similar to the original handle, but there's no reason why you couldn't have one made any size/style you like...
I stripped my charging handle bolt once a few months ago. Got a new bolt (from local HW supply place) and was able to cut to size and use no problem.
Loctite is god for it. I dn't clean mine that often, just spray some G96 on it and clean the bore. Runs fine.

um, the factory uses 242 Loctite when they assembly the bolt.
