I picked up this Nighthawk Custom “Enforcer” off the EE and it showed up earlier this week. I’d owned a Nighthawk GRP a few years ago, and never thought I could afford another Nighthawk but this was at a price I couldn’t resist—it’s not new but it’s in excellent shape. I'm excited to try it out—it'll be a bit before I can get to a range so in the meantime I took a couple of pictures this evening.

It has a small magwell and checkered (30-lpi I think? 25 LPI) frontstrap. I had the grips already—they’re VZ 320s—I like the way they look on a black pistol.

The slide stop pin is chamfered, supposedly to eliminate the risk of it backing out.

I generally prefer fixed sights on my semi-autos, but the all-black adjustable rear sights (Bo-mars?) and the night-sight front make for a nice sight picture. The rear of the slide is serrated as well, and looks to be nicely fitted to the frame.

The top of the slide is serrated…I prefer a solid rib but I’m OK with this…it’s solely a cosmetic touch.

The muzzle is nicely flush with the barrel bushing…again a cosmetic touch, but a nice-looking one (and it has a regular-length guide rod as well!).

I'm happy to be able to (unexpectedly) pick up another Nighthawk—I'm looking forward to trying it out!

NICE.

I actually like some of those touches you don't like the adjustable sights - I really like the ones on your pistol - and the serrated slide, etc. (I am a gun club duffer and out house target shooter for the most part). A range report would be sincerely appreciated if you have the time. I am looking to get back into 1911's and I'm in the shopping process now.

Very nice gun.

This feature is awesome! I wish it was on my Kimber. I am a lefty and I don't know if I have long thumbs or not but from time to time my thumb rubs the pin (on the right side) while firing and the pin will back out. I'm working on adjusting my grip but it sure would be nice if I could just hold it naturally. I might have to look at getting this done to my gun...never even thought of it before...or maybe just buy what you did :)

Happy shooting!

I have the Vickers Nighthawk, awesome pistol.
I think the Enforcer Model is the same as the Vickers (of course mine's the non-railed one)--they started using it after they stopped using the Vickers logo (although my serial number still starts with "LV"!)

For sure! I'm hoping to get one in a week or so.

that is no average 1911, it has many custom features, even a ball cut dust cover.
I must say I didn't know what a ball cut dust cover was before I researched this pistol but now it's all I can see...especially for pistols that have those that don't line up with the frame!

The slide, not the dust cover, is the part that is ball milled.

Ball milled slide cuts are alright, I guess, but I'm not sure I get the fascination. To each his own.
