Convince Norinco to make .303 ammo

I would much rather see a canadian manufacturer make some affordable ammo.

I only buy Challenger ammo for my shotguns in the hopes that they start making rifle ammo some day.

There is only one plant in Canada that MAKES ammo, and they only sell to militaries, for a reason. Opening such a plant in Canada would be crazy.

I was just in the Woodjoynt in Brandon today and he litteraly has three unopened boxes of the stuff, and tried giving me a box when I helped him bring in a shipment of stuff. It's not listed on his website but it's there.

I wonder if Industries Valcartier Inc. (General Dynamics) would be willing to pop out some ammo for the civilian market? According to their website, they still make mil-spec .303 Brit in two varieties. EDIT - CanAm beat me to it

Failing that, our own government probably has several million rounds of surplus stashed away and rotting in warehouses.

Love the Norinco 556 ammo, cant get enough of it. Heard from a few ppl of a few dud rounds but all the rounds I've shot have gone bang. Keep that ammo coming and I'll be happy

Same,

My white box stuff shoots as good as any Amercian Eagle or MFS North American bulk crap at a literal fraction of the price.
Haven't even had a single failure to fire yet. Mind you I only shoot it in my AR.
Still, the stuffs as accurate and reliable in my experience as any other bulk crap I've shot that wasn't Norinco.

Uhhg! How disappointing! I did a bit of research on Challenger and you're right, they just buy the hulls and primers from Cheddite. No idea where they get the shot and powder though.

They need to keep it for the Canadian Rangers up north.

Yup, for now. I understand with a high degree of confidence that a competition is coming to equip our Rangers with something else. I, along with many here, it sounds like, am hoping that those rifles are made available and all the related ammo (although FMJ) released.
Fingers crossed for one of history's best rifles!
