CanadaAmmo rocks, but CANPAR SUCKS!!!!!

All I can recommend is you call Canpar out on it. Whatever the company is. Remind them who the customer is and who's paying there wages. Keep them inline and accountable!

If anyone needs to call Canpar out it would be Canada Ammo. They are the ones buying the shipping service and they are the customer in this case.

Canpar had a pistol for a month travelling all over Western Canada. Same as you, claimed consignee not home when I was home. Ended up back in Vancouver, told CanAm to just send it Canada Post. Showed up 4 days later.

Canpar sucks 2 bad experiences in a row, the hassle I had is not worth the dollars saved through Canada Ammo. Unless I cannot buy it somewhere else I will not be doing any more online ammo purchases involving Canpar. Canada Ammo is great besides the negative shipping issues with Canpar

I am very happy with Canadaammo, but wish they'd offer an option for shipping with Canada Post. I'd even pay more - here's why: Canpar in their wisdom, only do M-F daytime deliveries, exactly when no-one is home. They will attempt multiple deliveries, when no-one's home, then you have to cut work early to drive 20 kms to the one depot in the city, that's open (you guessed it) M-F until 6.

Good for their employees, good for deliveries to businesses, but awful otherwise.

I have passed on deals because of this barrier to an otherwise excellent buying experience.

Chain of Signature - here is why nobody but Receiver can sign for the parcel

Just had a chance to get an explanation from Canpar re "not home but somebody else is home".

If you look carefully at the tracking info (Canpar.com), there are 2 services listed:

Services:
Ground
Chain of Signature

Which means they do their work as asked - only YOU can sign for delivery. That's for protection of everybody involved.

Not a bad idea when shipping firearms IMHO. But the delivery hours SUCK BIG TIME! ;)

Having said this, CanadaAmmo ROCKS!!! :dancingbanana:

Exactly !! I figured I could pick up my blueing tank at a local drop off centre when I get home. Only the closest centre is Burnaby which is where Can Ammo is located. 150 km each way. Kind of defeats the purpose of shipping. LOL. So it got returned, Can AM changed the shipping to my wife's work, and her name so she could sign. This was the most frustrating delivery company I have ever dealt with. Luckily, CAN AM was so quick to resolve the problem. I will pay to ship can post next time. Not for ammo though. Or ship everything to my wife's work. CANPAR truly does suck.

I'm a courier and nothing is more important than the good toys ,I can't help the managers screw ups or acts of God weather wise but I work hard so I can buy fun stuff l. And believe me I care more about the cool stuff than Amazon Walmart etc if a company ships you something in a paper bag that's them being stupid the system is jammed pack it like you care seriously trucks are stuffed and there's no help soon it's only getting worse so be nic to the person who brings it you never know they could be next to you at the range.

Canpar had my ammo shipment for a month... I called after 2 weeks... I believe they are using Loomis now... and my shipment was here in 4 days

I've had bad times with Canpar in my area too. But yes, I requested Canada Post on my last order because of this. There seemed to be no issue on CanAm's end at least as far as I'm aware of, my blood pressure remained constant and normal throughout, and no hairs were pulled from my head.
