Trying to find a Cz 452 Lux Help!

I bought one like 2-3 weeks ago at gunsnthings (ultra lux in .22lr, but i think they have the lux also). Price was very good and rifle is awesome.

You might have more luck finding a 455 Lux.

The 452 was discontinued a couple years ago, it just took a while for the stock to work it's way through the system. The only difference between the 452 and 455 line is that the 455's have interchangeable barrels. (It's a European thing - apparently, in a number of European countries, you're limited to the number of long guns you can have registered to your license, which makes guns with interchangeable barrels/calibres a more attractive proposition).

If you spot one at a store NIB, buy it and don't ask too many questions. The 452 line was so well regarded, they'll hold their value well and you won't pop up used very often. People buy them to keep them, not trade them.

p.s. You can't have this one. My daughter will get it. Out of my cold dead hands:

$ 500 a year ago doesn't help when they're no longer around. I snapped up an Ultra off the EE in the spring for $680. I WANTED one, so when one popped up I grabbed it. Didn't really NEED it as I have three other CZ's. Needs and wants, make the choice, spend the money. The 452 Lux is one of my favourites.

$625 shipped? Man, they were going for $500 retail a year ago when they were still in the stores.

A year ago isn't any good now. 90 years ago a long gun was $2.

I paid $549 ish for my 452 lux new from prairie gun traders. But he time I paid tax and shipping it was like $638. If you want it and its discontinued most likely you will have to pay a premium.

Oh, not really arguing about what the "going rate" is, just a bit surprised that they've jumped in price that quickly. Also makes me glad I paid what I did, when I did, for mine.

Honestly, though, such a fine rifle. Hopefully the 455 line will turn out to be as well made and accurate.

I had 2. Key word had. While they are nice rifles they don't compare in feel to the 452. I thought the 455 felt cheaper. As of the accuracy on the 455's I had they shot great so that was all good. I sold them though because I always reached for the 452's.

This was the refinished stock I had done on a 455.

Be patient. Your 452 Lux will show up eventually. Just be aware that when it shows up you have to act quickly...
BTW there are some 452 Americans 22LR (beech stock) available at a couple of sponsors for around $500. They are mighty nice if you are planning to scope your new CZ.
