Storage of my handguns?

I have my handguns trigger locked, in a locked case in my safe which is above the legal storage, but I don`t want the rule 9 to have anything on me if I`m checked out. Stored the way you say is perfectly fine and maybe more than needed.

very similar to how i store my firearms.
non-restricted are trigger locked in a locked gun cabinet. restricted are trigger locked, in a locked opaque case and then in the locked gun cabinet.

storage laws are kinda like the CEC (canadian electrical code). its just the bare legal minimum. it sure does not hurt to go a little extra just to be a little more safe.

i must have a sheltered life because ive never heard of anyone getting checked.

i store mine in gun safes(s) and i just leave the trigger locks on because im too lazy to take them off and on again when i move them over to the gun cases to go to the range.

i have often wondered what people without gun safes do.
i guess you can just trigger lock, case lock then put in the closet, eh?
