What length mag tube on a Wingmaster would you need to properly fit a 12.5 inch barrel?

Also, please post pics if you have done this to your gun.
Thanks!

Unlike Mossberg, Remington uses the same mag tube for all their 870's. The standard mag tube (capped) is pretty much flush with a 12.5" barrel.

^ that 12.5 fits flush with the end cap so if you have a wingmaster you likely have no extension so just barrel and you're good to go.

But iirc

12.5 needs nothing
14" needs +1
18" needs+2

Yeah, looks like the only options are the Dlask and DA barrels.
Not sure what front sight the Dlask has, but a bead likely.
DA has a rifle blade, so the gun would need to be tapped for a rear/rail and GR so that's extra too.

DA 's are common in the bead configuration but if you want a quality build go with dlask.
Yeah for sure. I'm only seeing the DA currently in stock with the blade sight though. Is the Dlask just a blank front, or tapped for a bead?

Got it here.

Fits my Wingmaster perfectly.

Thanks^^^ I know they are sold out of that particular barrel though. Only blade sight modified bore in stock now I think.

Dlasks have blade sights, somewhat of a lengthened forcing cone apparently, and I believe a Mod choke.

They're well made but heavy as hell though, thicker than even the factory Police barrel profile. You might have to trim down a forend to fit.

Yep, I have a DLASK 12.5 on an 870 frame, and had to sand down the pump a bit to get it to fit, otherwise it binds and won't "pump". Its much heavier and thicker than a stock barrel.

i have a dlask 12.5 barrel with screw in remington chokes. i bought it off the e.e. and if i understand correctly dlask will thread these barrels as an extra .as others have said you will have to remove some material from the forend to work the action . no modifications to the gun other than forend sanding . i used an old wingmaster for the base and like the gun a lot.the gun length with a 14 inch length of pull is 33 and a quarter. my gun is fairly heavy as the barrel is heavy and i have added weight in the stock.the weight eats up a lot of recoil.

This is a DA Grizz with un-modified (other than stripped and re-oiled with Tung oil) wood furniture from an 80's Remingtong Security Express (an old Brinks shotgun someone else was tacti-cooling and getting rid of the wood from it).

I replaced the bead with an XS sights Big Dot T tritium sight. Because of the tapered barrel profile and shortened sight plane on these short barrels, a regular bead will end up with your Point of Aim being well bellow Point of Impact. The Big Dot raised the sight just enough to get a good sight plane, and I can pick off a softball sized object at around 20-25 yards with slugs now.

The DLask barrels (much better quality, from what I hear) come with a raised front sight to solve the POA/POI issues. The raised front sight on the DA barrels is probably too high - it's designed to be mated with the crappy ghost ring on the ghost ring version of the DA Grizzly.

I really like the XS Big Dot. Easy as heck to pick up in all light conditions and get on target.
