something fishy about the time,location and various members not getting the notifications. anybody else starting to think the board is up to something? those close enough to go should be there to make sure the rest of the membership doesn't force fed a few peoples agendas

Not much of a conspiracy when notices were sent out in the mail to members, it was posted on the IPSC Ontario forums, and it is on the main IPSC Ontario webpage. If someone didn't want you to find out about it, they did a really poor job of it.

BTW last year's AGM was held in the exact same place so I think your tinfoil hat is on too tight.

Why not vary the location so it's not the same attendees? There are members who are from the GTA believe it or not

I can see how toronto makes sense....makes it hard for those in other parts of the province.though

Not trying to fan the flames, but....

On a good day it's a 7-8 hour drive from Cornwall to Windsor. Dryden to Toronto is 24 hours or so.

An equitable location for all is kind of a farce in this province. (And frankly most ways I can envision to address that concern bring with them there own bag full of nightmares.)

Agreed....I think Toronto is just a make sense location based on numbers alone.

Having said that, cheap webinars can be done now. i would definitely call in for the AGM and watch the presentation on my computer if that were an option. I do this all the time at work.

I don't know how the rest of the provinces do it, but BC and Alberta hold their AGM's during the dates of our Provincials. Most people who really want to attend the AGM are usually there.

I like the webinar idea, though. This way you can ensure more participation from the general membership. Our province is about 50% bigger than your average country so travel doesn't come easy.

Hold multiple live agms with votes being kept secret until ballots are together and counted. Use Web meeting software to keep it all on track.
