Agreed if you can find the parts even then shipping to Canada is even tougher, don't even know what Colt is anymore these days. :(

How hard is it to replace the forward assist plunger from round to a tear drop?

Nice CAR 15! I am just waiting for my 6 hole skinny handguards and tear drop forward assist then I will post my build. Mine has the metal sliding stock those seem to be in demand now.

Colt R6450 9mm Carbine with RRA 10.5" barrel (have the original 16" as well)
Colt R6551 Sporter Target, full A2 configuration without sear block (a rare bird indeed!)

It's easy.
Simple as drifting a single pin out.
Push in new forward assist and drift in said pin again.

They are hard to find though but they are around. E-bay is your friend on small parts like that sometimes.
