Browning x bolt

I've got the fluted carbon one in 30-06. It's light, very grippy, great recoil pad, magazines are great...mine goes for a week long moose hunting/canoeing trip in the rain with no case for a week and shows no signs of anything...only complaints, feels a bit small when shouldered...I'm 6'4", 210 lbs, the bolt handle is small and no texture to it and the bolt prefers to be cycled straight back. All pretty minor compared to how well it works...mine shoots sub moa from my car roof with a down jacket for a rest. You'll like it.

I just bought an x-bolt composite 243. Feels great. Works great. Trigger is adjustable. I like the magazine.
I bought the winchester super x 80 grain ammo and got 1' - 1.2' groups when sighting in.
I just started handloading rounds for it. Best group so far is 0.8".

i have the xbolt .338 win mag and love it all the others in the safe are getting jealous now cause i hardly ever use them, i shoot 200 and 225 hornady factory loads, for now, when my press gets here i`ll play around with different weights
Thanks for asking. I've been telling myself my next rifle is an X-Bolt Medallion in 7mm mag. Picked one of in the store not long ago and it felt really nice. The guy in the store said he had 2 of his own and they were absolutely fantastic.
For a 1200 price tag, not so bad either. Hopefully Sail has their no-tax sale again next year..,.. and I might just go grab one.
The local gunstore here has a few (10% off till gone). I handled the .280 Hunter. Very nice feel. Shouldered nice. I like the mag as well and the scope rings/base.
I'm giving my TC Pro-Hunter one more chance and if I'm not happy its gone!

Yes they are very good rifles. I have two of them 223 and 300 wsm. Both shoot very well. They also come from the factory glass bedded.
Well I broke down and re-visited the local gunstore and had another looky feely of the X-Bolt in .280 Rem. It wanted to come home with me so bad and instead of 10% off it was 15% off 
So instead of coming home with one X bolt with spare mag and X-Lock mounts I came home with two, .280 & .243
Nikon scopes are on, bore sighted and ready to go. I just have to full length size some brass and make up some loads.
BTW, Everything was 15% off so it really helped with the decision.
I'm hoping to get them zeroed and try them on some 'yote dogs. Any ways, I am very happy x 2with my 1st ever Brownings!

I have a .280 Rem in x-bolt. Did the very simple suggested Browning break-in method and it shot moa with my handloads. Handload development was simply the easiest I have ever experienced. Granted, I used a powder that should do well in the 280 (H4831sc). 15 rounds and done. 3 groups of 3 work up and 2 of 3 to confirm and it is still shooting well. I think the x-bolt is a great rifle.
How far did you seat bullet off of rifling?
It is a Ford/Chevy/Dodge/Toyota kinda question.
Either you like Brownings or you do not, be it an A-bolt or an X-bolt.
Thats my .05 worth of advice.
I like the A-bolt over the X-bolt and that is my opinion only.
