Current Manufacture Mauser 98 Sporting Arms?

CZ 550, Kimber 84, current Winchester model 70, Ruger M77 Hawkeye

That would be close, but they have different safety lever from the way M98 had it.

Zastava makes the M98 model, with the original K98 style safety and bolt shroud. That's as close as someone can get from the "real" thing.
Their Z70 (Z98) is exactly the same, but iuuses a side safety and the streamlined bolt shroud of the FN Supreme.

I think the point is, that they don't really want to make it, just have to have an offer for a nostalgia reasons hence the price.

Other than Mauser which manufacturers still make a Model 98 action hunting/sporting rifle?

Wolf

Nope.

There are enough military surplus M98 actions in circulation to fill the demand. Making it redundant to manufacture new ones. The Germans made 20+ million G.98s and K98s. Now add Czech, Polish, South American, Persian, Chinese... etc, etc.

As posted the only thing close to a traditional 98 made today is a Zastava, Mauser, Kimber...

The CZ 550 May not look very similar but it keeps many of the original design features. One of the most important ones being that in the event that you have a stiff extraction the original Mauser(and 550) designed the extractor so it will actually tighten down on the case rim the more the bolt is rotated. Mauser did this by undercutting the extractor tongue and its groove in the bolt so that the force applied during difficult extraction would sink the claw deeper into the extractor groove. From what I've seen and read, the CZ 550 is the only copy to incorporate this original design feature.

The bolt shroud and safety may be different, but it's damn good action.

is the inner torque shoulder on the Zastava a "C" or bisected?

you might want to look at the Montana rifles. They appear to be derived from the 98 with a C ring. Many features of the 98 plus a few of the pre 64 model 70, like the shroud safety and trigger with a model 70 footprint and using model bases. A very slick action.
