Short shotgun question...

Thanks Mitchell, thats what i was looking for something to keep in my atv... I will check out this Dlask 870! Where did you get the locker box for the front of your ATV? i need one for this purpose of the gun.
 
Yes I was looking at that exact shotgun, but was not sure of the over all length, it seems hard to find. Anyone know of its length?

It's actually a loaner atv a buddy of mine owns so I'm not sure what brand the front box is.

Lots of folks dislike the 8.5" it seems but if being able to pack and carry the shotgun in as many different ways as possible, from backpack to toolbox, is important to you then the trade offs are well worth it.
 
Well I am looking for something compact with a punch to protect myself and family around the land. SO i need something small and easy to carry or pack along... so if we compare 8.5" to 20" inch and over , then yes its not as a good as a longer barrel shotgun.. but i need portability rather than the best there is , in the end, either gun will do its job when needed... :)
 
DA Grizzly. 8.5" and up - whatever length suits you. The only "modern" gun I have and the only Chinese gun I have (turned out not all things from China are crap). Love to shoot it. Just make sure you practice with it. It take some time with shorties. Love the gun, hate bead sight. Think I need to replace it with something else.

my brother bought one of these from a CGN dealer. When it fell apart after less than 5 slugs, he was told to pound sand. Another good buddy has the same one and loves it. After my brother's experience, I wouldn't even look at it.

OK thanks. I've got a Grizz and some express laminate wood coming my way and was wondering if I was going to have to mess with the forend install.
 
Maybe a little longer than what you are looking at but tons of aftermarket accessories for Mossberg 500. This one is pretty decked out and only $375 @ Arma Coat:
