What to do with used C02s?

Hi guys,

I've got a couple boxes of used C02 cartridges and I'm wondering what to do with them. Do I return these for a refund, recycle them, throw them in the garbage .... ?

Pitch 'em. Don't know if they're recyclable or not. Likely the same as a spray can.

I use the used CO2 cartridges as targets, to shoot at 25 & 50 yards with my .22lr rifles and pistols. Once they have holes in them, into the garbage it goes.

Tried that many, many years ago. The things you do when young and foolish. We also welded them up and threw them into a fire.

My son was asking if he should bore out his cannon a bit more (made out of a big log) to fit these cartridges. Right now he only shoots marbles.

build a proper size compressed air gun [spud gun] for them.

they will go thru 3/4" plywood at 50 yards.......

Dale's file handle tip in this thread, is one of the better ideas I've read in a while.

Use them for flatcar loads on model railroads. Could be a something-or-other heading from the fabrication shop to a refinery?

Cut the very end off, fill with match heads. Ignite and run! A mini rocket that flies in a not-so-straight line and sometimes into house windows, which will break.

I`ve been thinking of using them for propane tanks on my model railroad.

This is interesting I'll try it on halibut wrapped in chum - cuz you never know!!!
