Hi, I have a Cooey Model 600, 22 Cal, bolt action. This was handed down to me and it's been around awhile. Unfortunately the stock has two large cracks in it which are being held together by gun tape. I was going to buy a stock from someone but they took their ad down.

Does anybody think it's worth having a stock made for this rifle? Just a simple one with inexpensive wood. I don't really have a choice now other than doing this.

Nothing there I could use unfortunately. I looked on the Winchester website and clicked on the Winchester/Cooey 600, it linked me to Jack First Gunshop in South Dakota. Anyways I called them and they couldn't help.

Not sure if it would be worth it to have someone make a new stock for the rifle. Right now I'm making guntape live up to it's name.

That does surprise me. The "Bunny" stock (the same as the second and third from the top in this picture) is just one of a couple of types that can be used with this rifle. Is there something special about your gun that these won't work?

Nothing special about the rifle. The closest I saw on the Numrich gun parts site was for a Cooey Deluxe model, which I think is different than the bolt action I have. Do you have a stock for sale(with trigger guard, because that's cracked too)?

Sorry, but I'm not getting it. The stocks in the photo above are for your rifle. I don't see why you need to look elsewhere - and at $45 they seem like a very fair deal.

Edit: Maybe the stock you currently have doesn't look like those above, but I can assure you, they are the correct ones. Look no further, your quest is done ;)
