Just looking for some suggestions/ideas. Nothing crazy expensive but still good for out to 200 m as well as cqb

Maybe take a look at the scopes in 1-4x20 range. 200m might be tough but seen guys using them out to 100m accurately on some ars. Its what I got on my tavor and consider it awesome for that close cqb type use ( no real experience/ competition use ) just my .02 cents. Not to mention look bad ass on m305. And can range from 200 to 2000, I highly recommend vortex viper.

A Bushnell 1x4 or a Millet 1x4 would be nice.
If you never scoped your m305, don't be disappointed if you have ejection problems when you install a scope.
I have two and it was a headache to get one of them to eject properly with a scope, the other one never worked. But I never took it to a gunsmith anyway....just tried to fix them myself.

What do you consider crazy expensive? When I was into ARs I really liked the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24, but if I were outfitting an M305 for a CQB-and-beyond optic I'd probably go for something in 1-6x even though they tend to be priced a bit higher.

I would consider a good fixed Bushnell 10X40 scope (3200 Elite tacical serie).
I have one "on duty" on an ARMS#18 mount with Warne rings. Solid set-up for the M305 and perfect for the job, according to me (50 to 200 meters)...

I have a Millett DMS 1x4 that I ran on my M14s before I decided I wanted to push it out a lil further and put a Leupy Mark IV 3.5-10 on her. No problems making hits on silhouettes out to 300ms with it at 4x, especially with a 200m zero, just learn your holdovers. Held up fine to the recoil of the M14 as well, still have it sitting in my closet, come to think of it, with some ARMS22 low rings on, perfect to get as low as you can on a ARMS18 mount. I'd part with it if you were interested, been sitting in my closet for a couple years now, haha

Ive killed deer out past 200m with a fixed 4 power on a rifle.
so a fixed 4 - or 6 or a 2-7x30/40mm would be good.

With any rifle that will be used in medium to closer ranges get as wide a view as you can it helps being able to see more in the scope view.

If you go to high of power you will have a really hard time finding anything in the optic at under 100m

Pish tosh!

I would get a nice matte 3x9 hunting scope. It is my scholarly opinion that you can't take full advantage of the gun unless the optics are up to it. Mine is always cranked down at 3 but it is nice to have the extra resolution on the range or for long shots.

THIS ^^^

National Match iron sights will do 200m and further no problem.

Mine has the factory Chinese barrel, factory Chinese plastic stock. All I did for mods was clean up the trigger nice light and smooth, added Springfield made National Match front sight and rear sight. These have smaller more precise front blade, smaller rear apperature that is hooded to reduce glare.

Took to the range with some cheap low quality MFS steel cased ammo. 9" by 9" steel plate, 200 meters away. 20 shots fired at the plate... 20 solid hits.

Best part: you wanna shoot further, like 500m? Just dial in 500 on the drum and plink away. Possibly the best iron sight setup on a "work rifle" ever designed.

Redfield 2x7

Yea those Redfield Battlezone's look great to me.
and manufactured by Leupold in same factory.
Heard nothing but good things about them since Leupold started producing them again.

And they also come with Tactical Adjustment turret's for those who want to do windage ect .

Oh and did i mention prices are good.

I shoot CQB regularly and my minimum scope power is 3. We get down to 10 yards and 3 power is still usable. You don't have to worry about needing a 1 power setting for close in.
In service rifle competitions we shoot out to 500M. The troops use their Elcan scopes on the C7 that is 3.4 power. They routinely kick civvies butts who are using higher power scopes. If you are going out only 200M you don't need 10 power.
