Tavor Vs Type-97

Lol. Why dose the cleaning kit need to be stored in the rifle? What's the differnce if its in your pack, or on your rifle. You goona stab somebody with your cleaning rod after you run out of ammo?

Sks is better than an AR-15 because its cleaning kit is stored in the rifle.

Sounds dumb dosent it?

My thoughts exactly, lol.

I would rather have a cleaning kit in my pack then my rifle anyways. I try to keep my rifles from becoming to obese, so every add on (sight/rail/flashlight/forearms/triggers) are thought about in respects to weight as well.

Tavor needs tools to dissasemble and doesnt have an on board cleaning rod and kit= crappy shtf rifle. One knock against the t97 is the lack of a heavier barrel after dumping a 30 rd mag its almost glowing

Please, tell us more about your 30 round mag-dumps. Post some photos and videos! Have you tried making it full auto yet?

I meant as in 3 pistol mags dumped basically the equivelant of a 30 rounder i see ive made some tavor owners pretty butt hurt over pointing out flaws in their rifles sorry guys forgot you paid twice as much and had to upgrade the trigger

Most of us have used the T97, and realised it was a range toy.....sorry you cant see that...

I have access to ta T97 whenever I want. I take it from time to time to the range. The ergos are so bad I dont enjoy shooting it....

What does good ergo and wanting to be an " operator " have to do with the fact that the T97 is far less desirable than the Tavor in my eyes ?

I agree. I bought the tavor because of its ergonomics. shooting a gun with ####y ergonmoics for a few hours sucks. Makes it less, "fun" if you dont like the gun because it is uncomfortable to shoot. I dunno about the rest of you "operators", but I bought this gun because of the reliability it has, the fact it takes ar mags, its wicked cool looking, and its a gun I have always wanted. I take it with me on hikes all the time, as well its nice and short so its not cumbersome to carry while slung. Does this make me a "wanna be operator"? lol:d

As well I have no idea where this tools are need to field strip crap came from. I can get the two pins out without a punch.

Yes. My bum hurts because you pointed out that there isn't a spot for a cleaning kit on my rifle.

Is that seriously your argument.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, I got my Tavor with a working trigger. Haven't had to replace it yet (fingers crossed).

So, for the record.

Tavor wins in
-Fit and finish
-build quality
-ergonomics
-reliability
-durability

T97 wins in
-place to put a cleaning kit

And the winner is............

T97

I guess the ergos dont bother me much because im not a wannabe "operator" im just out to have fun not run around with a helmet and head set pretending to be mr hero

Sounds like your the butt hurt one here who cant afford it and wont admit it, so instead you just bash it. I am not butt hurt at all, I just cant stand bull ####. Its the same way I cant stand the bull #### the Liberal and NDP parties spew.

This thread has nothing to do with being an operator, so why you bring that in is irrelevant. This thread is about facts. Facts are, the Tavor is better, but does retail for $1300 more, is battlefield proven, has alot better controls and general ergos from factory, and spare parts are available, has conversion kits, threaded barrels, most all mags are functional with a few exceptions, triggers are replaceable with aftermarket packs, cleaning is easier, optics mounts are available in stock form and so are accessory rails. What does the T97 do better?
