Same or not?

Too many things match up for them to be different deer, we're just getting varied perspectives. As mentioned off the hip I'd have said no, but a quick look over changed my mind, same deer is this guy's vote.

-The left beam (deer's perspective) G2 is longer than it's G1, consistent on both.
-The fork is the same end of left beam, it just appears closer to the end in the first kill pic as we're looking at it nearly end on.
-The perspective of the kill pic minimises the apparent tine length, misleading.
-There is more curl in on the right side than the left, also matches.
-Biggest indication for me, the brow tines. Both alive and dead pics show a slightly longer left.
-Spread appears equal.

Finally, tine wear, how long between the trail cam pics and the kill?

Different deer IMO... the perspective is off and makes it difficult to tell... the fact that you aren't seeing him on camera any more means nothing... he could be off chasing does or may have been displaced by a dominant buck.

Different deer is my opinion.
The G2's and G3's are much higher on the trail cam deer, than on the deer taken.
The trail cam buck has a distinctly longer right side G2 than the G3, and the G2 has a bend in it. Can't see that on either of the pics of the taken deer.

Brothers maybe, different deer I think.

No the dead deer is wider and has shorter tines, also look at the brow tines they re closer together and have a different angle off the main beam on the live buck then the dead buck!

Was going to post a lengthy reply arguing that the three of them are different, perspective can sometimes lie.
If you had the meat antlers (the one in the truck) rotated and photographed in same angle as the ones in the trail cam, it would be easier to tell.

All in all, doesn't really matter - you have meat in the freezer.

I'll post a pic after head is mounted. I'll take it as close as I can to the two trail cam pics. It will be interesting to see if anyone would like to buy a vowel......LOL

Great idea!!!....hope Vanna White is available to turn the letters slowly! :)....no matter what congrats on a nice buck taken!

I don't know how anyone can look at the tip of the left main beam and the point emanating close to the tip, in the dead deer and the second picture of the trail cam and say it is the same deer.
Absolutely not the same deer!

I think the brows tell just as much - they start almost directly at the base and are half the height of the tines on the dead (and smaller deer). The trail cam deer they start well up the main beam and are less than a 1/4 of the length of the tines.

Similar genetics - but not the same deer

Not quite exactly the angle of pic facing camera. His head was lower on that one, but with this pic I ask is it same or not?
