Hello I know another thread on 1911!

I want some factual infos cause I'm about to buy a 1911 SS with rail.

So here a the models i was looking for the S&W 1911 E series or the Kimber TLE / RL II

Which one would you mostly recomend? Why? Or any other one? My budget is around 1500$

Thanks

You can't really go wrong with either one. Really the only significant mechanical difference is the Kimber has an internal extractor and the S&W has an external extractor.

Take a look at Springfield Armoury too - Irunguns frequently has Springers. Smith E Series guns lack the Swartz safety (I believe) if so of the 2 I'd go with the Smith. The Swartz safety has been known to have issues that can create a "click not bang" situation.
