New to the Canadian market?

I've heard good things about the SAM's and very good things about the STI Spartan (built by Armscor) so I'd be inclined to take a chance on one of these if the price was right.

Check out their pricing though.....seems to undercut Wolverine's SAM pricing by a fair bit.

Think about it. It's not like you are worrying about lack of warranty on a 30-40 thousand dollar car here. You're risking 385-585 dollars tops in the worst case scenario.

I'm seriously thinking about a Archangel in 9mm

Dunno about serious undercutting....the max difference is $50 on the Thunderbolt version, everything else is less then that, plus the mid priced models have #### GI sights verses Novak type on Wolverines.
And if you are in BC won't make any difference paying HST....
Sounds like a pretty half assed business venture lol...."Warranty, whatta mean, look how CHEAP these are lol" great business motto

Thunderbolt is 675 and the Archangel is 585. If it's the same gun from the same factory why pay more? I have to say Wolverine has never impressed me with the aggressiveness of their pricing.

You are comparing SS vs Blue pricing....$625/$675 at Wolverine.
Approximately $585 (Black), $625 (Stainless Matte/Polished) range, pricing will be finalized soon.
Also they don't even have guns yet, or a shop, or any stock of any kind, no overhead and prices are not even finalized, and they still are peanuts cheaper then a trusted REAL gun dealer. What is their shipping going to be like? Handling fees?
When Wolverine first brought these in, the GI model was $350....
I ain't going to be the guinea pig to try them out....not for $15-$50.

A thirty day warranty isn't gonna cut it. That's, what,.... one or two trips to the range for most of us?

Fair enough. You make a valid point. OTOH Are we sure that these are identical to the SAM's or just built by them? I thought I read somewhere that they where upgraded or had additional features compared to SAM's sold here.

Yep. I expect the factory would make an Aprilia 1911 if you ordered enough of them.;)

The thing to remember is just because it comes from the same factory doesn't mean it's necessarily the same. A lot depends on how the order is spec'd and at what price point the buyer wants the guns to come in at.

Okay, now I'm thinking a bunch of guys should get together and order a line of "Cult 1911" pistols.

Less features by the looks of it....GI sights on most of the line vs Novak.
I would doubt there is any difference in these guns vs Wolverines as far as fit/finish goes, it's the basic SAM line up, same as ATI pistols sell in the US with some minor cosmetic differences.

For a different look from SAM, check out the Iver Johnson line, mostly cosmetic though again....some real gross ones too lol

The GI sights are the one feature I like. Novaks give a 1911 a fugly profile.

Give me (modified)GI or a nice low bomar.

But I like the classic lines better

And I think most gun companies started small, with a dream. No doubt someone thought that they were sketchy too, once.

So lets just wait and see what the first owners think of their pistols.

See? Competition is a good thing.

I still want a commander with GI sights, though. Going to stick a rat tail grip safety on it and have a Coltish clone for far less than the real thing. New guys have it, so they'll get the biz.
