I got my 1st. ever Steyr in the mail the other day from a fellow CGN'er and I'm very impressed with this rifle.
It's an SBS Pro Hunter Big Bore in .450 Marlin and will be my rifle of choice for hunting in the wet stuff come
the new season.
The stock dimensions fit me perfectly and the rifle balances great for off-hand shooting. The weight is just a
tad lighter than 8.5 lbs. with the Talley rings that came with 'er and she sports a 22" barrel. The action is
smooth & rock solid and the 3 position safety works great. I like the fact that the magazine can be lowered
a touch to allow cycling the bolt without picking up fresh rounds. The trigger is fine the way it came on this
rifle....just a hint of creep and super crisp let-off at just shy of 3 lbs. I mounted a 1.5-4.5x Nikon Monarch
on this wee thumper and will be testing the package as soon as I get dies & more brass for load development.
