Beretta 92 Fusion Limited Edition @ $17,999, anyone interested?

So whats so fancy other then the tune/exclusivity?

I mean I like the 92s but unless its made out of unobtanium or some such, even then 17K is quite a bit.

I love those grips and wish I could get them for my 92 though

I just bought both of them, figured I could gangsta with both hands that way. It will go with my gold and diamond grill, and if I ever need to actually hit what I'm aiming at, I can always trade them in for 2 dozen Sig SS Elites.....

Here is a pistol worthy of the price tag

I've seen one in person, this is the nicest parabellum ever made, I doubt any of the earlier models could even remotely attempt to hold a candle to it.

I saw the ad on the weekend and thought…."That's a nice HG for a decent price"….then I realized there were three 9's in the price tag not two.

Awesome Luger indeed. Reintroduction of the Krieghoff 60 years after the last guns were manufactured. Price was $17,545 US, Frank Kaltenpoth (Krieghoff's master gunsmith who hand-fitted & finished the complete run of 200 pistols) had to put so much man hours in those that it took close to 4 years to complete the run... Now that's a true gem.

For that price it should come with a carry permit.

Can't agree more

Had a chance to handle it at the store. It's sure one of the best fit and finish firearm I ever handle. The action and slide fit like glass and the weight of it's own is very heavy if compare with 92fs. It is like a jewelry but can't wear it out.

Geez, I'd be annoyed spending all that money only to find my gun had been finger banged by everybody who came into the store.

Im as much a collector as I am a shooter and I do have a an appreciation for rare Berettas and have a few in my collection but......

The collector in me: The guns valued by collectors down the road are often commercial failures, unusual design variations, prototypes, basically rare or unusual guns but not rare by design. Special edition guns are rarely worth more down the road (some lose value) because virtually all of them are bought, put away and never shot, and are virtually identical to regular production guns.

The shooter in me: If you take a Billennium or a Steel 1 and send it to Bill Wilson or another top gunsmith for custom work, I am certain it will be a better gun then this.

The intent I see: This an attempt by Beretta marketing to create a 'Halo' gun to upmarket themselves and create buzz around their name brand, not a desire to create the best handgun they can. With that price I expect most will sit at Beretta Galleries or other high end gun stores and bring people in to see the "20k Beretta pistol" and serve the intended purpose of their creation.

At the end of the day it just does not hit any of my buttons, but to each his own. What Beretta should do is make a new run of steel framed pistol, that is what a lot of people want.

I got 100 bucks will both be gone by the end of the month. We all know there are real collector out there and lots of guys can afford a 20k gun every day. In Toronto you can see 100k car every corner.

Well said.
