Hey Guys, I'm doing another 3 gun match September 6 at Selkirk Game and Fish range. 100 rds per gun, 6 stages, max 20 rds per stages for rifle and pistol and max 12 rds for shotgun. I'm using the whole range this time so things should move a lot faster. There will be some rifle steel at 200 yds and some shotgun skeet. Just a heads up.

We will be using International Multi Gun Rules

You will need a black badge or a IDPA holster course to compete.

Setup Friday evening at 6pm. Match starts at 8:30am.

Preregister by sending me a private message. Space is limited so let me know if want a spot.

Cost $30-$40

Is this sept 2014. my name is Dwight from Altona, me and a friend attended your 2013 3 gun and really liked it, since then we got our black badge, we liked the first stage shooting from the car on the trailer, we really would like to attend, is there any matches in spring?

Sorry no matches this spring. I'm too busy with IDPA and IPSC matches, or so my wife's says. But yeah your more than welcome this year again. Private message me your names and email addresses and I'll put you on the preregistered list. This year there's gonna be more movement and some shotgun slug shots too.

Any pump or semi shotgun that can hold at least 5 rounds at the beep will be competitive. You can't go wrong with a mossberg 500/590 or Remington 870. In my match you can only start with 5 rounds in the gun, so a semi auto will be an advantage. I personally run a mossberg 930 but if I had some extra cash I'd get a Remington versa max.
Hope that helps.

Just a reminder for the upcoming match. We will be using chamber flags. If you don't have, some guys are just using a 6 inch length of yellow nylon rope and that works too. And there won't be any shotgun slugs. The round count will be 105 for rifle, 107 for pistol and 72 for shotgun. But it would hurt to bring 30-50 rds extra. Depending on how much you plan on missing.

If you want to preregister pm me with your name, your email address and the class you'll be competing in.

Can someone who is interested in getting into shooting sports allowed to attend this event as a spectator? If so would assume eye and ear protection is mandatory?

I usually do one, once a year. The next one is Saturday August 29 at selkirk again.

But if you don't mind shooting only 2 guns, the MDPL does a couple of those a year too.
If your interested check out mdpl.ca.

Just a heads up you'll need a black badge or the IDPA new shooters course.

Hope we see you out there. If you want to be put on the preregistered list pm me your names and a email address I can reach you at.

Of course, right during harvest ;) it's not often I pray for rain in August, but 2/10" Friday night would be good! I'll do my best to make it. My wife and I are both really excited to get into the shooting sports. We will be getting our black badges this summer. Thanks for the tip about mdpl 2 gun as well.
