best place in can to order improved sites for a 45-70 marlin guidegun?

Removed the scope off my ss marlin guidegun in 45-70gov.
Ive never liked the sites on this gun from factory.

They are too thick, can and have hiden a entire doe at 100yards.

Want something better and finer for it any recommendations?

Gun shot fine with scope but I didn't like it for this application of use.
 
Skinner sights. They offer a couple different peep sights that mount to the existing holes in the receiver, as well as different front sights. Easy install, beautiful work and no issues shipping to canada. I loved them on my guide gun. Would buy again in a second.
 
Ty will look into it, I dont mind open sights persay but these have always been just to darn thick to be truely accurate.
It's one thing to punch targets with em because you have infinite time, but when your trying to quickly aquire target and make a double lung shot its darn near impossible, I shot a buck with the gun scoped a couple years ago and it was nice and accurate but just not really what suites this rifle.

I've went away from using it for deer now it will likely be my bear gun or perhaps use if im going woods hunting, neither places I really want to be using a scope even if its a 2-7x33mm leupold.
 
I personally don;t like Skinners for two reasons:

1) I don't like their front sights. Too angular and crude compared to other options.
2) The rear aperture is unprotected, on a guide gun, that's not the most practical thing.

I would check out either XS sights or Wild West Guns - both make a businesslike sight similar to skinner, but with protective wings on the rear aperture and a better selection of fronts.

Just my $0.02, but the square topped Skinner front sight is excellent for finding the horizontal line and for centering on target. Aesthetics are, well, just aesthetics. This sight picture is ideal for the way the human eye sees such a configuration and works with it. As for a sight being unprotected, any open receiver sight is unprotected. Not sure what advantage one design has over the other.

Having said this, I do own a set of Skinners, but now use a scope in the 45-70 due to vision considerations. JMHO.
 
I have used Williams, Skinner and XS sights, on a Marlin, Rossi and a BLR, I like them all but my favorite is the winged XS, mainly for the better adjustment.
 
I have the winged XS Sights on my Guide Gun, I like them a lot. Bought mine from Brownells, P/N 006-000-037WB DRC 1895 Marlin Sight
