Question:

Any lefties using an over under? Any issues using one? I know there are some out there set up for lefties, but just wondering if any lefties are shooting "normal" o/u? Is cast an issue? Let me know your thoughts and experience with this please.

It will depend on the specific O/U. My Beretta is cast neutral.

The opening lever will need to be pushed instead of pulled. Probably a little awkward at first, but since every O/U and SxS I have ever shot always opens the same way, it doesn't bother me and isn't an issue.

Cast will be your biggest concern.

I shoot a Cynergy without issues. Yes it is a little cast positive, but less than some makers. Had a Fabarm Axis that was much nicer finished gun than the Cynergy, but the stock cast made it tough to use.

Get something neutral and you'll be good. I've never thought twice about the lever needing to be pushed... it's like that on ever O/U I've shot, so never thought twice about it! It's like second nature and I can reload VERY fast.

I have an older 101 with choke tubes that fits me fine. However cast on is hard to find. Beretta will make them with a LH stock. You are just going to have to handle a few. I've looked at and handled a lot of shotguns. It seems like every one has a different amount of cast.

Thanks for all the help. I was reading some of the available browning product manuals on-line tonight, as it shows you can adjust the cast on the cynergy models. I guess I will keep looking into it and start shouldering some in stores.

shooting wont be a problem aiming a target will be lol ...

i had an old miroku that came with really a wrong cast for a lefty, the day i shot a straight one took me a while to reach a clay pidgeon ...

Perhaps the synthetic stocks can be adjusted - mine is a wood one, so no adjustments possible. :) It's a GREAT shotgun all around though - very nice triggers, smooth operation...
