I would like to replace the red strand with an orange or yellow strand.
Are they sold in small quantities? I need no more than an inch.
Surely there must be an Ontario source?

Archery shops. But buy more than an inch. It's not very expensive and if you screw it up the first time it's nice to have extra.

Lancaster Archery Supplies has lots to choose from. They are in the states but ship up here.
If you need to mushroom the end do not put a direct flame on it. Heat a small bolt and put the bolt near it til it starts to mushroom. It is more controllable.
Scott....

here you go...

Make sure they're the right diameter. The one's he's selling are 1.5mm or 0.06" diameter.

BTW, they come in 5cm lengths, or one colour is 15cm, or if you want two colours, one strand will be 10cm, the other 5cm... you get the picture.

This is a ripoff. Check this out. They ship to Canada. It's about $6.00 /m. Sell the excess on the EE.

OK... but I only needed a few cuts (15cm is still more than I need), it was convenient, and it's still not alot of money ($11 shipped to my door).
You do things your way, and let us know how it goes.

Did as you suggested and it worked perfectly. Thanks.
