will that cheap Russian steel case/steel jacket ammo ruin your barrel?

Bi-metal bullets will not increase wear on your barrel over non bi-metal bullets.
This has been de-bunked for decades now. The bi-metals are still softer than the barrel metal or chrome lining.
In a US Army study done years ago, a barrel fed nothing but bi-metal bullets showed absolutely no difference in wear when compared to the same amount of regular copper covered bullets. Let the myth die.

Sell the 1000 fired brass for $100 and it's basically the same price...

And were is this market for 10 cents a piece .223 brass located? Not around here.

Is this a good time to mention I shoot Norinco .223 as well? It's even cheaper than the Russian WPA I've been shooting.

Stevo.. We'd be good friends, I love norc .223 and would shoot it in any of my ARs and my NR ACR

But I've also discovered Wolf .223 and this is what happens with my 14.5 AR with a Lantac

Higginson Powders list mixed .223 for $9/100, internet is a big place... Lol

According to a metric #### ton of professional shooter's and foreign military's experiences, no it won't.

One specific test under specific and highly unrealistic conditions doesn't apply to any real world scenario but this specific test under these specific conditons. i:e nobody but a barrel longevity tester with 10k to shoot in one day should worry about it.

It's a non-issue.

That polymer coated wolf steel case can't be any worse that that laquer coated Hornady steel case,
and I haven't heard a peep of a complaint against Hornady for making excellent steel cases.

Retail price. So realistically they'd pay maybe $5/100 for used brass and postage to them would eat that up, if they buy used from individuals.

Around here no one bothers to picks it up off the ground. I have 15 gallons of it already.

You've got good value out of this thread.

well i guess you don't need laser hair removal on your hands...

Emmm aren't all jacketed bullets bi metal?

Copper is the standard jacket for north america anyway.... Cheap euro surplus is usually mild steel jacket with a thin copper wash or plating about .008" thick.
