Almost ate a .177 pellet

There's people out there with bullets still lodged in surgery sensitive areas. Never heard any worries about lead poisoning, but who knows.

I have found 22 lead in deer I have harvested. There are many a feral cat that is walking around with some lead from my drunk ex cop neighbour. (when he can see straight enough to shoot). How was the meal otherwise?

what goes in must come how some how some were some time .Dutch

....and this is the result of lead poisoning on the brain. My brothers and I used to chew on the lead pellets when we were kids, nope think naything ever bad never didn't not happen wrong to us either way before we adulted out.

If you swallow it, acids will likely dissolve some and it should enter bloodstream.

Lead intoxication (plumbism) from retained bullets has rarely been reported but may be fatal if unrecognized. Bullets lodged within joint spaces or pseudocysts are more likely to develop this complication, although patients with retained missiles in other locations may also be at risk. Subtle findings such as the occurrence of unexplained anemia, abdominal colic, nephropathy, or neurologic deterioration in patients with retained missiles may suggest consideration of plumbism. An intercurrent metabolic stress such as infection, endocrinopathy, or alcoholism may be a precipitating factor.

Me, I've probably eaten the equivalent of a couple shot shells full of bird shot over my lifetime and I'm only mildly demented, and let's remember that lead was added to every drop of gasoline for 70 or 80 years too. There's an old family story about an ancestor Big Bad finding a healed over arrowhead, I like to think it was a flint one, in a deer.
