I was thinking more the squirrel... I imagine that a chunk of lead inside you would leach enough to poison you over time.

I have found 22 lead in deer I have harvested. There are many a feral cat that is walking around with some lead from my drunk ex cop neighbour. (when he can see straight enough to shoot). How was the meal otherwise?

....and this is the result of lead poisoning on the brain. My brothers and I used to chew on the lead pellets when we were kids, nope think naything ever bad never didn't not happen wrong to us either way before we adulted out.
