I am in the market for the glock 19,
And i saw that most of them have threaded barrels and suppresor sights
And was wondering if those sights are actually practical for normal shooting?

15 yards? Lol

I believe he is speaking about the point of impact, meaning that after fifteen yards the bullet is no longer going behind the dot of the front sight, but starts to go above the sight IE six o'clock hold etc.

I just received a G19 with the suppressor sights, not sure just yet, they are rugged and look like they'd make good sights for longer distance/precision shooting. BUT I do find it slightly awkward having to hold the gun just a hair lower than normal.

I am sure I will get used to it, just right now when I draw the sights usually take a little finding instead of just being there.

But what do I know, I kind of liked the old stock plastic sights which everyone says are junk.....

They're a big step up from the crap Glock usually ships with, for a start, they're steel for another they've got one dot at the front and nothing at the back - not some crappy kids game of put the dot in the box.

Thanks! That is what I mean.
I like the suppressor sight a lot.

I bought a G19 and G23. I immediately swapped out the stock sights for Trijicon HD's. Great sights!

Smart move....I was thinking the same lol...I love the Glock 19 Gen 3 with factory threaded barrel...I would loose that fugly thread protector, and replace the sights with Trijicon night sights, and a Streamlight M3X Tactical Illuminator.....Beautiful package.

Of course!
My Glock 19 POA/POI is dead on out to 15yard.

What are you looking for with regards to accuracy? Its a service pistol designed for shooting people, so an inch of deviation between 15 and 25 yards is a non issue. What's the difference in sight height between suppressor sights and stock sights like 2 maybe 3 mm?? The sights are setup the same as standard sights, just taller. The difference in height is negligible as far as POA/POI are concerned.
