M&P22 as a first handgun

Like others here I've tried a few of the new "replica" .22lr HGs. After a few hundred rounds the wear was evident and made me question their long term safety.
Eventually sold them off and went back to a Ruger MKIII. Proven design and function with lots of after sales support/parts, etc.

Sig 226 in .22. I have one and also have the 9mm exchange kit. Great pistol in either calibre. I much prefer the feel of the Sig to the M&P or the Glock with the AA conversion kit.

I have the M&P and LOVE it. I have 8 different handguns and the M&P is my favourite semi auto the shoot out of all the semi's I have. The only thing that I like better is my S&W K38 Masterpiece revolver, but that's an entirely different class of gun.

Go with the M&P, you won't be sorry.
