First of all, Merry Christmas to you guys and Happy Holidays. I have question and it is silly but forgive me because this is my first time and I always want to be safe and doing the right thing especially when it comes to the rules. My question is am I allowed to put my rifle inside in the back seat of my truck with its case ? or I have to put it in the trunk?

Put it in the back seat all you want. I always cover my firearms in my truck with a jacket or something just so prying eyes can't tell what it is.
 
mine rides on the dash off my pickup so the dogs do not jump all over it .just as long as it is not loaded you are good in Ontario .Dutch

The Honda Ridgeline has a trunk, if you consider that to be a truck.

Personally, I installed a "Du-Ha" in my silverado. It is an under seat storage thing that is designed to hold 2 long arms without scopes. It works great to keep them out of sight!
