Picked this 870 wingmaster up today and wow it's in nice shape! LOVE the high gloss stock. It's an older model I believe after looking online at the serial number. I might call Remington to confirm this week.

Its a full choke. What would be the going price on this? I paid $250

Very good price indeed. They are not all that rare even in good condition, but $250 is a steal - they commonly go for $400+ on the EE.

Email Remington with the serial number and 2-letter barrel stamp, they will get back to you quickly.
 
If its a 2 3/4 " gun with a fixed full choke then $250 is about what it's worth maybe $300 to the right guy as far as being better than the new ones that's just a opinion . The new ones with the LC bbl's and chokes are very nice smooth actions and nice wood
 
Beauty of an 870! Probably mid to late 70's vintage. I have a 3" Wingmaster with 30" vent rib, full choke barrel. It was made in 1976 and may be unfired! I paid close to $650. Maybe too much for some folks but for those of us that love the older Wingmasters...it's plenty justifiable!

I would say you got a very good deal on it. I would even suggest that having it fit for choke tubes (thinwalls personally but your call) would be a worthwhile expense. I know not really needed as it will make an excellent trap gun as is and may also throw an excellent pattern for turkey or even ducks. It may be worth your while to pattern it before doing anything regarding the choke, not that you have to do anything about the choke, leaving it as is would be just fine.
 
That's a lovely shotgun, and still highly serviceable.

At the last show I was at, I looked at a couple of 20 gauge Wingmasters of a similar vintage, and if I recall correctly they were 425 apiece.
