Prototype AR Buffer Tube Adapter w/Pistol Grip on DA JW-83 Backpacker

Interesting.... but, and I hate this question myself..... why?

It seems like it would take the entire purpose of the gun (simple, compact, not many edges/shapes to snag on a scabbard/pack, etc) and removes the functionality.
Now it will be more cumbersome to get out of a pack or scabbard, won't pack as tight and, in my opinion, would be more ungainly as a truck/canoe/atv gun with the bulky pistol grip/adjustable stock setup.

This is one of a number of 'proof of concept' buttstock adapter prototypes (specifically buttstock adapter #4 - "BA4"). Your observations are quite valid and I myself can ad another disadvantage - the cost of the added pistol grip. But this ("BA4") is the wiz-bang-mall-ninja-tacticool version; "BA5" is the more conventional, lower profile (sans pistol grip) design - might make a video of that one too.

In the end its all about time, money and resources, so I decided to show the less practical but more "fun" version, for me anyway. :)

Fair enough, I didn't realize there were different versions of it.
I'm curious on the what the BA5 might look like but I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of putting that stock on a $99 gun.
But hey, if people are willing to spend their money on it, party on Garth!

I only wish I got it for 99 pesos, payed 140 for mine, way before the sale kicked in this year.
Yah, I will be making a video of the BA5 prototype as well, probably around February 2015, hopefully sooner - as always its about time, resources and most importantly fun.

Party on Wayne! :) :dancingbanana:
